Application error - The exception unknown software exception (0xe0000100) occurred in the application at location 0x76eb42eb Attempting to install Windows 2008 server on Dell Poweredge 2850. Above error appears and I cannot get any further. installing Windows 2008 and I get error after Windows loading files Setup.exe.

Hello first post from me. I want some advice to set up this: I have 2 terminal servers and a dc (all 2008R2), the users are using a simple peace of software (no registery settings) and i want to use the second terminal server as a fallback server. Hallo, I created an object in GPOs of a Windows 2008 R2 server, named "Testsomething". I set in this object a registry String in HKLM\Software\MyTest (only for testing) Now i add this object to my OU where my testuser is in. When I run gpupdate /force now with this user, the registry string is not changed/set how ever. Hi, noob question.. I used icacls * /save /T /C /L /Q to back up the security of each of the objects. I have 13 volumes so there are 13 iterations of the command, which is run through a cmd file and backed up on a weekly basis via the task scheduler The only error is the system information object which is never saved. When I try to restore the security it fails. For example, My photos drive is V:\ To back up security from the root of v:\ - icacls * /save c:\acl_back\photos.txt /T /C /L /Q Restoring the DACLS requires the directory parameter. Hello, I'm new here, but anyway i have strange problem, when joining computer in our domain. I have user 'xxxx', its regular user account and he is only member of domain users group. When i add new computer to domain this particular user becomes member of local "Offer Remote Assistance Helpers" group. Now i wasn't "there" when domain was created :) but there must be some kind of setting that made this happen. I do have security group membership setup in group policy and this user is definitively not in any of those settings, also when i remove him from that group, he doesnt appear anymore after gpudate. Good Afternoon, Happy Holidays! I am trying to add a second DNS/DHCP server. Currently the only one we have is in another state and we communicate to it via BOVPN. ( this can't be optimal ) I am looking to improve resolution and network speed. Some notes about our network: only the main office uses Active Directory, pdc/dns/wins/(etc.) @ 192.168.1.250 main office: 192.168.1.0/24 branch office: 192.168.2.0/24 I can't seem to get constant resolution, i think if i get any at all, its coincidental.
