Hello I am trying to install a 90 day trail of Windows 2008 server. I have tried to download a few copies of the 32 bit disk from Microsoft website after reading a few posts on other forms in regard to this issue. I am installing Windows 2008 on a Dell optiplex GX520. It has had both Windows 2003 and Windows 7 Ent installed on it with out any issues. I get the error message "No drives were found. Click Load driver to provide a mass storage drive" when it displays the available hard disks to install Windows 2008. I have tried downloading some drivers for the hard disk and using the dell download options but I am not a 100% sure on what drivers I should download and p…

Hi all, I have sysprep'd and then captured an image of windows 7 using server 2008 R2 as a deployment server. I have then deployed to another machine but every time I boot the machine I have deployed to it runs the "Preparing system for first use" and reverts all my user accounts and whatever else back to the way they are when deployed. I have removed the unattend file from the deployment server but it still happens when I reimage the PC. What have I done wrong here? Thanks Tim

Hi all, I have an c#.NET web application running on Windows 2008 Enterprise 32 bit server. Dual Xeon X5460 CPU with 16 GB RAM. Database server also has the same configuration. I get 8-9 seconds waiting time before the application responds. I use the same application on Windows 2003 Enterprise server. Application responds in 3 seconds for the same data and application. I made a search on the internet and made the following changes on the 2008 server: Disable chimney offload state Disable receive window auto tuning Adding to aspnet.config It made only minor changes. Any other ideas to fix this performance issue? Kindest Regards telmessos P.S: II…

We would like to allow win7 users to search a win08 R2 file server's remote index. I get to a point where each user needs a unique library file on there machine in order to search remote network shares that have indexes. Anyone have experience doing this and how did you setup/deploy. This doesn't seem to scale very well. Also, would be nice to setup Win7 desktop search to include this in it's default search. I don't see an easy way to setup network shares/with index's into the default win7 search.

I'm a newbie to SEO but I am a business owner with a mediocre website (so I've been told) but I did manage to stumble across an awesome team thats helped me so I wanted to share while I learned some things from SEO forums for myself. It's a site called http://www.forum-forum.com. It's a team of awesome people that will help boost your site on various search engines and increase your visitors. It takes about a week or two before things start to pick up but they're awesome and they take the time to explain to you the things and concepts you aren't familiar with. Try them out!

The Open Directory Project (ODP) is a user driven directory. It is the largest directory on the web. It is run by a group of volunteers who create the categories and add links submitted by the general public. I have been an editor at ODP for 10 years. A link in DMOZ is worth it's weight in gold. One link in the directory will give you thousands of backlinks on sites that use the data. You can visit the Open Directory Project to submit your site. It may take time to get in, but, when you do the wait is well worth it.
