I have an application that uses an Access DB that I have just migrated from a 32bit Win2003 server to a 64bit Win2008 server. I have a CRUD application I use to access the DB. This all works just fine on the Win2003 server. I have configured the permissions on the folder containing the .mdb file the same as on my Win2003 server. In IIS7 I have also edited the settings for the website to run in a 32-bit application pool. I have a debug.asp page that checks the connection to the DB which shows all is fine on the Win2003 server but I keep getting access errors as below on the Win2008 server. Testing database connection adodb.connection is OK Could not open database o…

Hi there, i just want to ask a problem of mine. My ProLiant ML150 G6 is having a problem installing Windows 2008 Standard with Service Pack 2 32Bit, After clicking Install Now, I get a 'Load Driver' error, text is: "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step." . Clicking brings up only Boot (X:). It is as if my DVD is not recognized by Windows. Anyone knows how to solve this problems? Thanks

Hi, Courtney from OutboundMusic.com here. We've just upgraded from our windows 2003 server to 2008. We're music broadcasters, and I refer to the file details often. On the 2003 server, details such as "duration" were showing on the files, but even though I am checking the box for those to show, they aren't showing on 2008. The file is the same, so I know that property is included in the file information. I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I can't figure out how to make my necessary file details show. Does anyone out there know what I need to do?

Hi Folks This is my first time posting and I hope I have this in part of the forum, apologies if not. I have a strange problem as follows: I have set up folder redirection successfully in combination with roaming profiles. I am using Server 2008 r2 btw. This took many hours of fiddling and reading forums but it does seem to be working.... almost. I set up a whole bunch of standard user accounts with the necessary permissions and the required v2 folders for the profiles. These all work fine on client systems. The problem comes with my own account. I tested it out as a a standard user on 2 different client machines and all was fine, however, as I am the admin, I…

Hi all, I had a problem in setting the permission. I had created a user whereby this user do not have permission to delete files in this folder. I had set this user as a co-owner. And in the security option, I had added this user and set the permission to denied delete and delete files and subfolder. But unfortunately, it did not work. The denied delete permission is not working. Can someone please help? Thanks

Hello All Forgive me I'm a newbie when it comes to this stuff so this may be a dumb question. My server running 2008 Standard is connected to a Xerox 7242. I am having issues when generating a postscript file using this printers drivers. I found a postscript driver on Xerox's website that solves the problem. In Server 2003 I am able to create a printer, even though it doesn't exist, to assign this new driver to and use that when creating a plot of my data to a postscript file. I cannot however add a nonexistant printer in Server 2008. HELP

Hello, I have windows 2008 enterprise server running terminal server. I have a user who is logging in with default user rights. The user has a .zip file on the desktop. It opens in notepad, not the default .zip compressed folder like it normally does. It appears the .zip file association for this user only has been changed. I believe it is because he right clicked the file, and chose open with and selected word pad for some unknown reason. I searched the net and could only find information about .zip associations for Vista, Me and XP but nothing for 2008 server. This is a production server so all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone! Chad

I have administration rights through a remote connection. I have changed the date / time on the server through the control panel to be set for Australia format, however when one of the users logs on the work on MYOB, the date is shown in the American format. When I open MYOB under my login, it is shown in the Australian format. How can I set the date/time in my users login to be in Australian format. Her login only allows her to open directly to the MYOB software, no permissions to see any other part of the server.
