It's the spam filter. I moved you into the group that shouldn't be hit by the restriction. Here is a good demo. It's GTB's site and gives a good look at WBB and all the apps. General Discussion- 6 replies

Welcome to the site Gary. Good to have you here. I thought you might have been here before. I started it shortly before I bought Admin Addict. After I got AA I shut this site down. It was really only open for a few weeks.

Hello and welcome to Forum².
-
Forum² is looking for staff members. Since the site has re-opened and it is a little slow the main job will be to add new topics to get the forum going. Once the community gets kicked started then the job will be to participate in threads and make sure topics stay free of trolls and insults. If interested drop me a PM.

I have too, but, I did happen to notice that a few people had their posts removed. I read a couple of the replies that were removed and didn't see anything wrong with them. In all my dealings with staff they treated me fairly.

I have noticed lately that xenForo staff can be influenced by some users on their forum to edit and moderate posts that don't agree with what the thread op has posted. There was a review posted about a forum in the same niche as Forum² that pointed out some of the shortcomings of the site. A few people that were long time members of this site pointed out some of the shortcomings. Staff at xenforo jumped in right away to remove the comments. It seems it's perfectly fine to point out shortcomings of some sites. Just don't do it to any site that is owned by one of the favorites. You see some of the comments pointed out how the site owner will ban members, some of them long standing members who contributed a good amount to the site, if they post on sites that the owner doesn't approve of. The owner regularly visits sites that he deems bad and if he notices one of his members posting on them he will ban them. He will also ban you if he doesn't like what you posted on other sites. It seems this guy has nothing better to do then stalk his users and watch everything they do or say. In any case if you post on the official xenforo forum step lightly if you decide to post an opinion that isn't inline with the way staff thinks.

I'd like to welcome everyone to Forum² a community for administrators, owners and forum enthusiasts to gather together and share knowledge. Forum² was originally Admin Reports and then later Forum SEO Help. While the community was off to a good start I didn't have time for it and it stagnated. I decided that this time I am in it for the long haul so therefore Forum² is born. Once again welcome to Forum² a community for forum administrators.

I'd like to welcome everyone to my newest forum. I previously owned another forum geared towards forum admins and sold it. I decided that it was time to start another forum for forum enthusiasts, be it forum admins, moderators or anyone that enjoys forums, to gather and discuss forums. At one time there was a forum for forum enthusiasts called Forum Forum. It was the first forum of its kind and was very popular until it was hacked. The forum owner decided after the hacking that he wasn't going to bring it back. When Forum Forum closed a big void was left. There were forums for forum admins, but, no place for forums admins, staff and regular uses to interact. I decided that should change so I modeled this forum after it. I have imported some posts from an old admin forum I started called Forum Admins that never got off the ground because soon after I had health issues and didn't have time to dedicate to it. I did this to add some content. Welcome to Forum² - A Community for Forum Enthusiasts. I hope you enjoy your time here.

The guidelines are simple. Don't post your site more than 1 time. Don't bump your thread if it moves off the first page. If you want to promote more than 1 site start a thread for each site. You must contribute 2 posts in the other forums before you can promote your site in this forum When you post your website use the following format. Use the format below to post your site. Site Name: Your Site Name URL: url to your site Then add a description of your site. Enjoy.

Site Name: Extreme Tech Support URL: https://computerhelp.forum My new, old tech site. There was a database crash shortly after the site hit 1 millions posts. At the time I wasn't able to get much of the data restored so I started fresh. I kept the bad drive since the crash happened. Fast forward 8 years and I was able to get 85% of the data off the drive. With that data Extreme Tech Support was re-launched.

I have seen this discussed many times and most people have varying opinions. I myself like Wordpress. I have dabbled with Drupal and found it a bit confusing. Maybe if I gave it more time I would have liked it. Anyway what's your thoughts.

invision community IP.Content 2.3.x Security Update
AWS posted a topic in Forum Software Discussions
We are releasing a patch for IP.Content 2.3.6 to address a potential security vulnerability in the search system. It has been brought to our attention that there is a potential vulnerability within the IP.Content search system and even though the vulnerability was only a proof of concept, we felt it best to issue an update. To apply the patch Simply download the attached zip and upload the files to your forum server. You do not need to run any scripts or the upgrade system. Credit Our thanks to security researcher Jamieson O'Reilly (https://www.invisionpower.com/clients/index.php?app=nexus&module=support§ion=redirect&url=http%3A%2F%2Fau.linkedin.com%2Fpub%2Fjamieson-o-reilly%2F70%2Fb64%2F13a%2F&key=8915687b3c24435098040afac2b41f8e647bb21c&resource=' au.linkedin.com/pub/jamieson-o-reilly/70/b64/13a/, https://www.invisionpower.com/clients/index.php?app=nexus&module=support§ion=redirect&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdringen.blogspot.com.au&key=e59c27a8b5acc41ec1577852a79bd308c2e611d9&resource=' dringen.blogspot.com.au) for his assistance with this issue. http://community.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=58972" http://community.invisionpower.com/filestore/public/style_extra/mime_types/zip.gif" alt="Attached File" /> ;http://community.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=58972" ip_content_patch_july_2014.zip ; ;7.1KB ; ; -

Guess what? The 3rd and last Beta version of MyBB 1.8 is out! After this version (unless something very bad or unexpected happens), we’re rolling out 1.8.0 Stable/Gold for all of you. We need your help testing Beta 3 though so we can release 1.8.0 as stable as possible. – Small (new) feature/change – New Feature ; We’re not mentioning bug fixes below (the same bug fixes applied to the 1.6 branch are also applied to 1.8 as of now and the bugs for 1.8 only are not mentioned as that would only be important if 1.8 was already stable.), only small feature changes, enhancements and entirely new features. Some of the enhancements mentioned below are related to the previous Beta versions (1st and 2nd) of 1.8 and they should appear as one only in the final list of enhancements for MyBB 1.8. ; AdminCP and Front-end - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/491]#491 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/949]#949 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/882]#882 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/808]#808 AdminCP - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/859]#859 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/440]#440 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/976]#976 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/914]#914 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/905]#905 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/893]#893 options in class_parser.php - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/880]#880 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/878]#878 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/875]#875 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/862]#862 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/857]#857 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/824]#824 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/439]#439 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/430]#430 - https://github.com/mybb/mybb/issues/364]#364 The download can be found http://resources.mybb.com/downloads/18/beta/MyBB%201.8%20Beta%203.zip]here. ; Upgrade You are NOT supposed to upgrade any 1.6 boards to 1.8 Beta 3 hence why we do not provide upgrading instructions. This is because you will not be able to upgrade from any of the Betas to 1.8. While we’ve done some work on the upgrader to guarantee that users no longer experience errors, this hasn’t been tested thoroughly. This is our number one priority in the next development phase. ; Bug Reports Found a bug? (or perhaps a few more…) Please post your detailed bug report in the http://community.mybb.com/forum-157.html]1.8 Bug Reports forum. Please always double-check if the issue hasn’t been reported already. ; Themes and Plugins Assistance If you have any development questions about possible issues you may have while upgrading your themes or your plugins – or issues you may actually be having – please post in http://community.mybb.com/forum-156.html]this forum. ; Contributors We’d like to thank the following contributors, they have been exceptional during the 1.8 development: http://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=blog.mybb.com&blog=36724248&post=2300&subd=blogdotmybbdotcom&ref=&feed=1 View the full article
