  7. First you can't upgrade to 2008. You have to do a clean install and then migrate your setting that you saved to the new server. Doing it this way should not lose any settings.
  8. What you'll have to do is reset permissions on each file or folder by using windows explorer.

  23. Look in event viewer to get what the error is and the error code. My bet is it's a problem with your php configuration.
  24. It could be the amount of RAM. Windows 2008 has a minimum of 1 gig I think. Try adding more ram to the vm.
  25. Every promotional copy I ever got worked for as long as I had it installed. I have promo copies of Windows Vista that are still working after 3 years. It should be good.
