  1. Try booting to safe mode and uninstalling acronis. That should fix things.
  2. There is no limitation. It has to be a vmware problem.
  3. With a default install nothing is turned on. I have never had a reason to shutoff login security so I'm not sure how to do it.
  4. You won't need the cd to add any roles such as IIS. Just use roll mamager and install IIS.
  5. The programs don't have permission to write files to temp dirs. Try installing them again as administrator.
  6. Since you need to run sql server you can't use web edition. Best bet for you would be standard version.
  7. I would think that torrent files have the wrong file association.
  8. I have never been able to get sound working while logged in using RDP. If anyone has any idea why this doesn't work please let us know.
  9. I have a motherboard that supports virtualization and there is no setting in the bios. It is on by default. I have another motherboard that had it off and no option to enable it until I upgraded the bios. maybe it is on with no switch to turn it off or maybe you need to upgrade the bios.
  10. You should not have to set permissions for the user. What ever directory is used as webroot will get the appropriate permissions.
  11. There are many people having problems with WinXP clients and internet access. I have yet to see anyone with a solution. When we upgraded we also had to upgrade all clients to Vista to get everything working as it did with 2003.
  12. Have you tried disabling the adapter? That would be the only thing I can think of to do what you want.
  13. You need to add the webmail domain to your DNS. Once you do that the webmail will start to work.
  14. More than likely the FTP service is what is keeping IIS 6 installed. Try uninstalling it.
  15. You should ne able to copy the files over to a new hyper-v server.
  16. Are there any erros in even logs? Take it look in the event logs and post them.
  17. Uninstall SMTP and only use hmail server. The 2 are conflicting with open ports.
  18. Run windows update from windows 2008. It should find and install the correct drivers.
  19. Have you tried Windows update to see if the driver is there? You could also try the Vista driver for the cards.
  20. If it is happening to some user and not others it could be they are trying to use the same password.
  21. Look in the error logs to see what applications are hanging. Look in event viewer to see if the problems are writing to the logs.
  22. I've never been able to get sound working remotely. I'm not sure if it even works. I know there is an option to enable it I'm just not sure that option does anything.
  23. Not sure exactly what you're asking. Maybe you are thinking of a cluster?
  24. The only thing I can think of is the high definition audio drivers are not installed correctly. Try uninstalling the device and rebooting tolet windows find and install the correct drivers.
  25. Have you looked through event viewer? You might get an idea of what app is causing the problem or what is happening when it shuts down. Do you have any tasks that run at the time this happens?
