What would I need to do today to get a forum started? I am thinking about getting back in the forum world. What would I need to do to get a forum started and bring in users? Are post exchanges still good way to bring in users? What about board wars? Those worked very well in the past. Help me out. I'm ready to start again.

Last software I used was vbulletin 3.6. It was the best at the time. I know IPB was a close second. Looks like IPB is the best from what I've seen here.

There wasn't things like this when I was an admin. Content had to created with our minds. Seems that it makes it much easier to create content. Find a topic and let AI do the work.

I don't have any communities. When I did the day was filled with things to do. I was a co admin on a very popular programming forum. Had to make sure things ran smoothly. Manage meetings with staff. Check site emails and respond as needed, Fix any thing that needed to be fixed. Never ending stream of things to do.

I registered a while ago at Admins Zone. Got the email you sent and decided to check it out. Looks like nothing much changed except for the software. I'll stick around a while and offer some help when I can. Been an admin for a long time.
