  1. I have not taken the SonicWall out of the picture. I thought about it, but everything runs quickly when I statically assign the ISP DNS servers. I could probably leave it that way, but since it's running Active Directory I'd like to use that internal server as the primary DNS server. I'm thinking that I missed a check box or some minor setting somewhere.
  2. I configured a 2008 server to be a DC and DNS server. All installs went well, but now that it's up and runnning it takes about 20 to 30 seconds to load a web page. Once it loads, the speed is fine. It seems like DNS is taking way too long to resolve names on the Internet. I have a SonicWall TZ 190 that is acting as the DHCP server and handing out the internal IP of the DC/DNS server to all workstations. If I manually configure the clients with the ISP's DNS servers they run fine. It has to be an issue with the DNS server. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
