  1. PROBLEM SOLVED - it is Spyware Doctor that creates this connection
  2. It happens on 2 of my machines on startup so I ruled that out that possibility. Also, one of my infected machines, the windows server machine has apache but the other, my XP machine at home, does not have a web server at all. The connection itself (75.125.111.2) does not appear to have an "A Record" but appears to be owned by an ISP called ThePlanet.com which provided dedicated and collocated servers Is there any command that can tell me what program created that 75.125.112 connection on startup?
  3. Netstat -a shows a TCP connection to 75.125.111.2:http close_wait. I do not know what program created that connection. How do I find out. Should I be concerned?
  4. I pay a monthly fee for a dedicated computer with Windows 2008 server from GoDaddy. I just had them provision a 100 Gig backup but it does not work properly. Ftp will not do a mkdir xxx, it drops the connection instead. GoDaddy support says they need administrative access to the system in order to fix the problem. I have 3rd party's accounting records on that system. Is it possible to restrict someone with administrative access from that accounting directory?
  5. You can avoid this error message if you disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security. However, I am not familiar enough with Windows Server to know the implications of disabling IE Enhanced Security so I have not done that. Instead, I would prefer to fix the problem. I suspect the "intu-help-qb2://" error can be easily corrected by entering the correct string. I just do not know what that string is. I tried "intu-help-qb2://*" but I do not know what I am doing, I am just guessing, and it did not work.
  6. I installed QuickBooks 2009 Pro on a remote Windows 2008 server. However, when I launched QuickBooks I got a dialog box that said the "Internet Security Levels are set too High." I phoned QuickBooks but they said they do not support QuickBooks Pro running on a Remote Desktop Connection. They said they did not know whether Pro or Premier would work on a terminal server or not. QuickBooks would not tell me whether their "Pro" version would work remotely or not. They say they have only had only tested their $3,000.00 "enterprise" version of on a remote connection. Perhaps you can help me solve my QuickBooks installation problem. The dialog box that said the "Internet Security Levels are set too High." The content from "intu-help-qb2://" is being blocked by Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Settings. Windows allowed me to add the site if I trusted it. However, when I tried to do that windows said that "intu-help-qb2://" was an "invalid wildcard sequence." Windows allows me to change that site before adding it but I do not know what the correct wildcard sequence would be. Do you? TIA dave-
  7. I do not "need" SSLEAY32.dll anymore. I found another way to do what I wanted without that dll. However, I still would like to confirm how to install a dll on Windows 2008. TIA dave-
  8. I need to install SSLEAY32.dll on my Windows 2008 server. How do I do it? I tried to do it by copying the it from my XP system and putting it in the PATH but that did not work. It could not find the dll. I moved it to C:\Windows\System32 and ran regsvr32 filename.dll but it gave me a "failed to load" error message. I have 2 questions: 1) I know it is software from OpenSSL.org but I could not find it there. Where can I get a reliable copy that is compatable with Windows 2008 server? 2) How do I install it? Was I correct in moving it to \Windows\System32 and running regsvr32? TIA dave-
