If someone can help me how I can get started that will be great. I have an LDAP directory with my user accounts. I have created a windows 2008 server and I need to authenticate users using the login credentials from ldap for file sharing. Am I going to do this using AD LDS? and how??? Am I goignt o use NFS? Nttwork File Sharing If anyone can help me how i can get started that will be excellent... Thanks

Dear KDA, Its in the minumum requirements that the Windows 2000 have the SP4 installed. Download it and installed it and will solve all your problems.

I am trying to add a domain controller to Windows server 2008 data center. I must say that my root directory runs on windows server 2003. When I am trying to connect to my root directory the following message appears. As I understand i must run the adprepe ustility for server cd to the server that has the schema of my forests? Thanks

Hello there, I am newbie to this and I would like someone to help me please. I want to create a file sharing server using Windows 2008 Datacenter. The authentication (usernames and passwords are store in an LDAP directory which synchronizes a windows 2003 server). Can I use this guide to implement my project? Thanks Lefteris

File sharing server Hello to all, I am new to this and I want some hints. I am trying to build a sharing server with an LDAP authentication so , only someone with a username and password from LDAP can access. Can someone help me with this. Thanks in advance.
