Hi, sorry for my english i'm french: For my certification for w2k8 Active Directory, I try to make a trust between 2 domains. (contoso & tailspintoys). there is the configuration I use: 1x DC domain name: contoso.com ip: 10.0.0.11, subnet: 255.255.255.0, dns address: 10.0.0.11 in my DNS i did a flz with tailspintoys.com ip address: 10.0.0.111 the other configuration for the other DC ip: 10.0.0.111 sub: 255.255.255.0 , dns adress domain name: tailspintoys.com In the DNS i made a a Contional Forwarders contoso.com with ip : 10.0.0.11 From my DC #1, I ping 10.0.0.111 (DC #2) and vice and versa all the ping works fine. From the DC #2 (10.0.0.111) I open the properties of the domain to make the trust: Trust Name: contoso.com Trust Type: External Trust One-Way : outgoing This domain only Domain-wide authentication Make a strong PW I confirm the configuration of my trust click next and I receive the following message: New trust Wizard (Title of the boxe) Cannot Continue The trust relationship cannot be created because the following error occured: The operation failed, the error is: This operation cannont be performed on the current domain. then I click finish and the boxe close. maybe someone can help me.
