  1. Thanks :)
  2. I have an Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit and until today it just had a 700g RAID1 (Hardware based) The RAID Controller is an simple onboard SATA RAID Controller with 4 Ports. 2 of them have been used for the System and Exchange with 2x 700gb Harddrives. Yesterday i added two 1.5 gb Harddrives and created an additional RAID1 with has the state "Healthy" in Controller Bios. So now that Controller has TWO RAID1 with the Status Healthy, the old one with the system on it and the new one without any Data on it. When i now open the Storage Manager, the System Raid is shown with the Driveletters C:(System) and D:(automaticaly created 200mb Filesystem) But the new RAID with 1.5 TB is'nt shown anywhere. Rescan, Refresh, Reboot, Rescan Controller (in diskpart) had all no results. The new RAID just isn't shown anywhere. In 2003 i needed to "initialise" a new RAID before i could create a Filesystem, but at least the Disk has been shown as "uninitialised" so i could do anything with it. But thats not the case here. Anyone got an idea what else i could try ?
  3. Hi there! I'am a 29 year old IT-System-Administrator from Austria (Central Europe) i've been working with Computers since the 1985. I always challanged myself with own server systems at home, AD-Domains in home Use, Webservers, mailservers, etc. At home i have an 2008 Server with hardware Raid doing the AD-Management, Exchange System, Fileserver and printing Server, 3 Apartments connected to my Lan, an quite big Internet Connection which is shared with my friends in the other apartments and 3 different Routers. All together we are a bunch of Tech-geeks always building own stuff and experimenting around with new OS and Products. Me and my closest friends are both MCP (Server 2003 Administration) and we both work as system administrators in different companies. Right at the moment, we got one little problem (I'll open an own post for that right away) and found this Forum. So i thought i'll register here, maybe we can help others solving problems and maybe someone might also be able to help us with problems we surely WILL experience with W2K8 :) Hope to find some nice people here! Greets and if you want to know more about me, just feel free to ask :)
