Hey. Thanks for the quick reply. Ok thats fair enough. I wasnt sure if I would be able to just do that. I will have to see if I can get one. If not I will try by phone. Im worried though if I have problems with the server in the future it could cause me to need to reactivate it; and because of me using the product key to activate the VM I may have problems. Hello all. I have a question I cant seem to find an answer to anywhere. I got Windows Server 2008 R2 from dreamspark as I am a student and have it installed and running as I want. I also have a R2 instance installed in hyper-v running other roles. My question is can activate the virtual computer with the same product key as the one I used to activate the physical machine? I have read on microsofts website Windows Server 2008 standard comes with 1 virtual license. Thanks for any replies. Matt
