Hello All, As part of our migration plan here, I'm in the process of building out new Domain Controllers to replace our aging Domain Controllers that are currently running. We currently are using Windows 2003 32bit as our domain controllers (we have 4 total) DC1,DC2, DC3 and chims01) and I would like to eventually upgrade to Windows 2008r2. I'm at the point where I'm about to run the Adprep commands on my primary DC (DC1 which holds all the fsmo roles), but will I run into any problems in this step? I know you can host a mixed DC environment with 32bit and 64bit but I wanted to get feedback from anyone who has done this migration before. I simply want to introduce this new DC into the domain for a few months until I am comfortable that it's ready to replace DC2. Thanks all

Are you running 2008 or 2008r2? I have built out both SQL 2005 and 2008 on the same Windows 2008 box without any problems. You will, however have to make sure that you have installed all of the appropriate roles onto your box or SQL will not install. Are there any errors in the application log?

Hello Everyone, I'm a Windows Network Engineer working in an environment where we have 33 servers of which are 11 are Windows 2008/2008r2 servers on a mixture of Physical and Virtual. I'm here looking to exchange ideas and get an insight on how can deploy 2008 better.
