I can't find the policy which is blocking me from logging on to the domain, they are billions of them but I cant find the right one!

No I ment that on my second laptop (not the domain controller) gets that message and I went to gpedit.msc and opened it but "Users" is not there and the add button is greyed out btw this a domain not local

I can join my domain now on my other machine but another problem came out, It says an error "You cannot log on with this method please contact your local administrator" I can log on with domain Administrator account but not a standard user account, How do I fix this.

I changed "Saad" to an Administrator but still no avail it didn't work. I went to Start -> User Account -> and It came up with a windows listed with the Administrator account so I went to add and typed Saad and set the level to Administrator but it didnt work. I has been 4 days and I cant make the domain. In Server Manager the DNS server has turned to an i but the Domain Services is a triangle with a ! in it.

didnt work I tried to enter it but the stupid error came up again. Im on wireless home network if that helps, could you tell if I did anything wrong? I did the same you said Username: Saad@ARSHAD.local Password: ********* still not working. "Saad" is a normal user not administrator Could you tell me what Im doing wrong?

Hi, Im new to this forum and Win Server 2008, Recently I watched a video on how to make a domain and he said to install Active Directory Domain Servies which I did and open dcpromo.exe etc (yes I made a static ip) Heres what I did: 1. Install WIN Server 2008 Enterprise 2. Installed internet 3. Installed Desktop Exprience 4. Installed Active Directory Domain Services 5. Made a static IP and opened dcpromo.exe 6. Made a new forest and Installed DNS server 7. Booted up my other laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate and went to Start -> Computer -> Right click -> Properties -> Change Settings and entered my domain name and it asked to enter a username and password (I already made two) and I get the error. Please no complicated respones, guided ones would be really helpful.
