Another sharp-looking red style. I like! Ahhh, a Transverse Styles style, no wonder I like it so much. John does great work. (Just don't tell him I said so. ;))

A couple of suggestions -

I would remove the forum name from the title of some pages, as described in this post.

Give your Top 5 Stats module some consideration. I would definitely display that to registered members only. It's just adding a lot of links to your index page. And do guests really need to know who the top 5 posters are? You already have links to your latest posts displayed without using this add-on to display them a second time. I really liked the looks of that add-on when I first saw it. After using it for a few days, I realized it really wasn't adding anything of any real value. Your members might like using it, so consider showing it only to them and not to guests.

After bouncing back and forth between the two, I think the style really pulls me into this one more than the style on your Illinois Skywarn page. Another very clean site! Best of luck with this one, as well.

I like what you did to further customize that skin. I have the IPB version on one of my sites.

That said the only real problem I see with it is also one of my pet peeves so it's not specific to your site. I hate the stats box. I always have. For one it doesn't add anything to any community. Users don't get any benefit and if they did it would be negative. It highlights the users with the most posts and the most viewed or discussed threads. 99 out 100 times the person with the most posts is the admin of the site. Do your users really have to see that you post the most?

It's ok to show the hottest topics or most viewed threads. I just don't like the user stats. It could lead to bad feelings. If there was a way to highlight the most intelligent user then I'm all for that stat also.
