mordius Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Hello, I installed Windows Server 2008. Internetprotocoll Version 4: IP: 192.168.2.3 Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0 Standardgateway: 192.168.2.1 (Router) DNS: 192.168.2.1 (Router) But I don't get Internet. Ping to 192.168.2.1 doesn't work: Answer from 192.168.2.3: Zielhost nicht erreichbar What can I do, to get it work? Thanks. Quote
Forum² Admin F2 Staff Posted May 15, 2008 Forum² Admin Posted May 15, 2008 Instead of setting IP and DNS try setting to 'obtain IP automatically'. If you then have internet you'll know that your config is wrong and you can troubleshoot it.. Quote
mordius Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 I changed it to automatic. But the Server doesn't get an IP automatically. It looks like that something is blocked. But I disabled the Firewall. The server doesn't restart (I'm waiting since 1 hour) "Computereinstellungen werden bernommen..." Quote
mordius Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 Ok, I reinstalled the Server, and it is set to get the IP automatically. But it doesn't get any IP. I used two seperate routers to check it. I think, that there is something blocked. Quote
