I got a copy of Server 2008 from work for learning purposes since we will be running Server 2008 pretty soon. I attempted to install the 64 bit Enterprise edition on my desktop but receive an error when it tries to boot up.

JGOGO.sys Error: 0x0000359 and it says that it can't load a critical system driver.

Specs:

Q6600 overclocked

ATI Radeon 3850

2GB of DDR2 RAM

ABIT IP-35 Pro mobo

Seagate Barracuda .11 SATAII HDD

2x DVD Rom/Burner Drives

Creative X-Fi sound card

Any ideas? is it lack of a 64 bit driver for something that causes it to fail? or is it a bad ISO? I used vLite to change some stuff, and add all my drivers in their, may have done it wrong...

Any help would be appreciated.

Try switching you sata mode to ide. That should cure the problem.

I believe I already tried that, but I will double check.

I also read somewhere else that disabling the onboard audio would cure the problem. Did that, no change.

On a side note, when I go to reply the default font size is REALLY small where you cant read it. Maybe you should set the default to 2 or 3?

From what I've read the problem you're having happens when installing on a box with an Asus motherboard. The only fix I have seen was to change from sata mode to ide. Since that didn't work maybe resetting cmos and then configuring bios before install.

I ended up installing server 2003, then installing my mobo drivers.. then installed over that installation (not a clean install like before) and it worked...

guess it was just looking for jgogo.sys and couldnt find it.
