Sata drive not able to format/partition, etc

Hi

 

I am adding a second sata to my board and I go to SERVER manager and under disk manager the drive is recocognized but options to format, partition, add drive letter is grayed out!

 

Plz. any advice on this dilemma. The drive works fine on other machines. The sata channel should be okay too on board.

Try formating the drive using the sat controllers software. You also might have to intialize the drive.
