chrismo Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hello I have a huge problem with my new windows server 2008. My Server is invisible to all other network clients, but can connect to all clients and to the internet. I tried to Ping, connect with rdp, connect to smb...nothing works. There is a small icon on the taskbar that says "connectionstate: unknown" if i open it, there is a wizard that tells me that there was no network found. (i don't now if that has something toto with my problem, but maybe) the other zstrange thing is that i am unable to start firewall, it tells me that a dependent service called BFE is not startet. if i try to start this BFE service, there is an error: Error 5, Access Denied. i have not done very much things with the server after setup, this is all what i ve done: - windows updates - connected to my domain - installed domain server role - installed printserver role -> since i activated this role the server is invisible. i saw that the server did several windows updates befor rebooting after activating this role can anyone help me?
