Jim Powers Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Hi, I'm having a problem here I can't seem to find on the net. I'm installing a Windows Server 2008 Standard edition and I'm having trouble with the DNS-server for a couple of days now. I was wondering if someone could see the error on sight. As I am installing the OS on the same server Windows 2003 server is running now, yet on different HD's, I can not try and change things. I can only do this in the weekends in an empty office. Here are some screens that might be helpful, I hope it's a bit readable 'cause it's in dutch: ipconfig /all http://www.clboostkust.be/DAC/ipconfig all.jpg dcdiag /fix http://www.clboostkust.be/DAC/dcdiagfix1.jpg dcdiag /test:dns /v screen 1 screen 2 screen 3 screen 4 screen 5 This diagnose shows that the provided alternative dns server aren't correct but that is not quite possible since I'm using these right now. Server name = win2008-serv dns name = gcoostkust.local Primary Dns is pointed to server itself, I can ping anywhere in network, to most external networks -> can't ping some sites Any thoughts on this? greetz Jim Quote
