xqiu008 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 When I go under "Software licensing" -> resolve now or go online to get genuine windows I got this message: "This pre-release version of windows has expired, to keep using windows, backup your files, and then install any released edition of windows server 2008 R2 Datacente." I am 100% sure my software is genuine. I've done a bit of research on this error. I might have problems with my system time. However, my system time is also up to date. Can anyone help me with this? Cheers! Quote

Forum² Admin F2 Staff Posted February 6, 2009 Forum² Admin Posted February 6, 2009 That version is the newest beta version. Windows 2008 R2 is in beta. Read http://serverforum.org/f35/windows-server-2008-r2-beta-download-279.html and follow the ink to download the beta. More than likely you have a copy of the original Windows 2008 beta which is now expired for use. Quote

mohrizmus Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I have an original copy Windows 2008 Std(Volume) but unable to validate using KMS ,where need 5 server to activate. Then I try to using MAK to activate but Windows 2008 says cannot validate via online. I only have 1 server Dell PowerEdge2900. I became fade up on Windows 2008,hate Windows 2008. I better go back to Windows 2000 server-no problem to create Active Directory,DNS, and update the OS.Windows XP client could join the domain without problem. I hate what Microsoft done on new OS.They still want to monopoly the market in server and desktop by creating the problem to new user. I hope this forum could solve my problem on Windows 2008 server; I don't want to waste our money to invest in new OS. Quote
