stfinney Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 We are using the Windows Server 2008 in our office. We have 13 computers networked together but only 10 can connect to the server? We are just using the computer it as a file server. What am I doing wrong? What do I have to do to have more than just the 10 people connected to it? Thanks for any help! Quote
Forum² Admin F2 Staff Posted March 2, 2009 Forum² Admin Posted March 2, 2009 Make sure you have enough CALS. Each device that connects needs a CAL. If all licenses are given out then the rest of the boxes will have to wait to connect. Quote
stfinney Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 I don't remember how many CALS we have. How can I check? I am not real good with the Server software yet, it is my first time using it. Thanks! Quote
Forum² Admin F2 Staff Posted March 2, 2009 Forum² Admin Posted March 2, 2009 Open term services manager and it will tell how many cals are installed. You can also add cals you purchased with the managelrs. Quote
stfinney Posted March 3, 2009 Author Posted March 3, 2009 Ok, I think maybe I didn't get everything installed that we need. I'm not sure. It's not showing me any CALS. There are so many things in the Server software that I am unsure about. What do I need for about 15 computers to be able to link to the server for File Sharing? Quote
