Hi,

I am migrating from Server 2003 with Exchange 2007 to

Server 2008 with Exchange 2007.

We have a Com+ Event Sink event, on 2003 it was registered in Com+ without an issue, and we used the old Exchange Explorer you can get from an older Exchange SDK. But it worked fine to link up the exchange events, until they changed to 2008.

It appears it won't recognise the Com+ package when registering the event.

I get a message that seems to state that it can't actually See the registered package. I've done exactly the same thing on the 2008 server that I've done before on the 2003 server, and it all goes swimmingly until the point where I need to register the component against the Event Registration.

Message:

"An error has occured creating the registration item. Event Sinks must be registered as a COM+ Application prior to creating the registration event item or there maybe issues connecting to the network or the server. Also check the data for accuracy. Choose yes to retry your request, No to abort or Cancel to check your data and try again."

And it IS, it honestly is. Security is dropped as low as it can get. It's a 32 bit application I think, however so as it was on 2003 so I don't believe it's an issue of 32 bit vs 64 bit.

Anyone seen anything like this?

Regards,

B.
