orestis25 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Hi everybody, I am a complete newbie so forgive any nonsense. I used to be under an administrator. He left the company and I've been "promoted", he he. We are using only one server with windows server 2008 standard. The server is not on the internet and is the domain controller of the company's eight computers. Until now, I used "remote desktop", simply logged on the domain with the username and the password of the domain administrator. A technician used my pc to vpn with his private computer. From then on, I get "wrong username or password", whenever I try to log on like I always did. Any ideas? Thanks Quote
Tim R Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Quiet evidently the password or user name has been changed, you need to go to the Server and log in if it will let you, if it won't, you need to log in with the Admin password. I hope you have it set up that the Admin Password isn't what you were Remoting in on. Always have a only @ the Server administrator password. Otherwise you have to break into it. That's not fun. I recommend you go to the server machine, log in there and fix the user name and/or password. Quote
