Hi,

I'm new to IIS servers and most servers. I have Windwows 2008 installed and am trying to set up a IIS host.

I can view the webpage fine in my local network computers but my friends cannot access the web pages from outside my network. I have gotten them to try all the possible IP addresses i can come up with.

I am behind two routers, a 2wire 2700HGV-B, and a linksys WRT160Nv1.

The linksys hooks to the 2wire.

The server computer hooks to the linksys via wireless as my computer has a ethernet adapter which server 2008 does not seem to support the drivers for.

The server computer linksys IP is 192.168.1.102 (when I type this on my home network computers the page comes up, also it works with the default 127.0.0.1 and my server computer name.)

My 2wire external IP is 216.197.135.***

My IP address rareley changes but I think it is dynamic.

My ISP does not block port 80 inbound and I have my:

single port forewarding set as:

External Port---Internal Port---Protocol---To IP Address---Enabled

-----80-----------------80------------TCP-----192.168.1.102---checked

-----443---------------443------------TCP-----192.168.1.102---checked

-----4125-------------4125------------TCP-----192.168.1.102---checked

port range forewarding:

Start -End Port---Protocol---To IP Address---Enabled

--80----------80--------TCP------192.168.1.102---checked

If you can help feel free to ask for more info.

I have been doing some troubleshooting and decided to reset my routers. Now I am able to view my website through my 2wire router which I could not before. But now when I ask someone to type in my external IP address or my computer's name into their browser as http://win-o8axvv6thsm or http://216.197.135.*** and they cannot get the page. So I am guessing my 2wire firewall settings are still a bit out of whack. Will try to fix that, any other ideas you have if I cannot fix it would be helpful. Thanks
