SORRY ASKED THIS QUESTION IN WRONG PLACE. POSTED AGAIN IN GENERAL DISCUSSION.

I have crtaeted an MMC console using mmc at run utility and named it as Security9

After creating mmc when I save it, by default its saved in the path "Desktop\Administrator\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administartive Tools\"

When I go on start menu and click on "Administartive Tools", I dont see Security9 in the option list. Then I checked path for this "Administartive Tools" and this path was "c:\Program Data\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools\". So I saved Security9 under this path manually and now I can see it in the list of "Administrative Tools"

Whats the difference between path of "Administrative Tools" where console is saved by default and the path where I had to save it manually in order to see it in the options list ? Why are there two "Administrative Tools" folders ? What do I need to do in order to save the console in the path "c:\Program Data\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools\ " by default ?

What effects will it have on other operations when I make such a change ?

Please explain.

The c:\ProgramData folder takes the place of the All Users folder of previous windows version. It's a hidden folder. Adding your mmc to the tools folder in your account's user folder should have added it to Administrative Tools folder that appears in your start menu > all programs > admin tools folder. Adding it to the c:\programdata folder will also make it visible for you, but (as with the all users folder) will make the mmc visible to all users who have access to the admin tools.
