hyperdude Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Hello, I hope someone can help me here. I have not been able to successfully install SQL Sever Enterprise 2008 on my new W2008 Sever. I have also tried installing the 2005 version and the installer also errors on installing the database services which tells me that this has something to do with the MSI installer service. Quote
gearyw Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Are you running 2008 or 2008r2? I have built out both SQL 2005 and 2008 on the same Windows 2008 box without any problems. You will, however have to make sure that you have installed all of the appropriate roles onto your box or SQL will not install. Are there any errors in the application log?
