DenverTech Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I have a very strange issue. We have inherited the support of a Windows Server 2008 R2 environment from a now defunct Tech Services company. The environment includes an RDP Member Server and 2 DC's. The issue is all of the Existing accounts work fine, but when we create a New User account and give them all the same permissions as an Existing user, while logging in through Remote Desktop this new user gets immediately logged off. I open a Remote Desktop Session from any remote machine (Win7, XP or Vista), get the Login screen, you See the "Welcome" Screen, followed by "Applying User Settings" then "Logging Off" shows up on the screen and I get kicked out. I next tried creating a new Domain Admin account, but the Same thing happens An existing User account or Domain Admin logs in through RDP just fine. I have made the New User a Member of the AD Group that is in the Local Remote Desktop Users group on the RDP server. I cannot find any other Group Policies that appear to be blocking my new user account and with even a new Domain Admin account not able to RDP in I am not seeing the issue. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks... Quote
