I just installed Windows Server 2008 Enterprise and I cannot connect to the internet. It says it has issues with "realtek rtl8101 family driver Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)". I downloaded the drivers from the main Realtek site and places it in \system 32\drivers and it did not work. I am using a Compaq Presario CQ62 (yes yes, I am using a laptop, I find it more convenient this way).

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Also wanna point out that when the Ethernet cable is plugged in during startup and until windows starts to really turn on (I have a dual boot) the little Ethernet connected light is on

Have you checked your IP that you assigned to the server?

I had a similar problem is was because the server was assigned the same IP as another box on the network.
