MFaklis Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hello to everyone. I have a degree in Computer Science. I'm currently unable to work and on disability, but I volunteer to help individuals and non-profits Iwith their computer problems. I've been picking up computers people leave on the sidewalk, rebuilding them so I can give them away to job seekers needing a computer. I usually put FreeBSD UNIX or openSUSE on these machines, since these discarded machines are old and too slow for windows. I'm a member of Microsoft TechNet, so I can keep up with technology I may need to get back into the job market if I get my health back. My hobby is attempt to get the newest software possible to run on the oldest computer. I have a both a FreeBSD UNIX network and a Microsoft Windows domain network at home. Other than all of that I go to medical appointments. I'd rather be working than dealing with these health issues, plus I miss the disposable income. Quote
