muflix Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Hello, i succesfully install apache from msi package httpd-2.2.19-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi downloaded from apache.org, but service didnt start.. so i launch services.msc and tried to start it manually but i got this message "Windows could not start the Apache2.2 service on Local Computer. Error: 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." i searched it on the internet but i dont find a solution for me. IIS Web and no other applications are running on port 80 (that is different error). If i uncheck (unradio :P) 'Local System Account' and create new user Apache and try start service under that new account, it doesnt help (same error). httpd -t return 'Syntax OK'. error logs looks empty or correct. if i try start it run normally from command line it throw me this please help im very unhappy Quote
Forum² Admin F2 Staff Posted August 26, 2011 Forum² Admin Posted August 26, 2011 Something is running on port 80 causing Apache to fail. Change port to a different port and my bet it will start. Quote
