goatberg Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I am trying to configure the firewall scope for file and print sharing on a windows 2008 server. When I look at the firewall inbound rules, I filtered them to only show those associated with file and print sharing. Since I enabled file and print sharing via server manager I see that the firewall rules need are already configured for me. Now I just need to limit the scope. When I filtered the inbound rules for fire and print sharing, I noticed that 9 rules had automatically been turned on. I will list them below. So I assume I need to limit the scope on all 9 of these rules that were automatically enabled when I turned on file and printer sharing? Is there any way to copy the list of scopes configured for one rule to another? Quote
ICTCity Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I can't see your rules... Anyway... each rule has its own scope... so... goatberg Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 oops, sorry. The rules are below: File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In) File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In) File and Printer Sharing (LLMNR-UDP-In) File and Printer Sharing (NB-Datagram-In) File and Printer Sharing (NB-Name-In) File and Printer Sharing (NB-Session-In) File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In) File and Printer Sharing (Spooler Service - RPC) File and Printer Sharing (Spooler Service - RPC-EPMAP) I am thinking I need to set the scope on all of these Quote
ICTCity Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I think so too, as said, each rule has its own range / scope Quote -------------------------------------------------------- Tu peux aussi crire en franais.
