Do I Need Register Domain?

Does W2008 R2 need register domain for local users have access?

 

I need help pls,

 

I recently install W2008 in my house to share Hardware resource, like printing and HDD for now. I install the AD the server does not give any error on those services, but I still can see on my network the server, less ..I can see any of the share resources.

Can some can help me out how to start to solve this problems...?

I'm not sure I'M understanding your problem... But you must activate network discovery in order to see shares and others stuffs.
