Hello all,

I am a new bie, not quite sure where to post.

my office network is

172.16.10.1/255.255.255.0

The DC IP is 172.16.10.5

Now there is a router in the office (for the training room). The IP is 172.16.10.10

the subnet under the Router is 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

My question is Is it possible to add the Workstations of the new subnet (ie classroom) 192.168.1.0

to the DC?

I mean can a Workstation (with an ip address 192.168.1.5) behind the router join the Domain?

The DC and DNS are use the same ip and same server mechine.

Regards,

Jiali

Thanks BSchwarz,

You mean all I have to do is to add and install another win server 2008R2 compatible network card and add the ip address of the subnet?

any configuration in the server OS needed for the additional network card?

Is there any list of compatible network card for Windows 2008R2?

regards,

Jiali
