I am in the process of building a new server to allow thin clients to log into a new server running Windows Server 2008 R2. I however want the users to be redirected to a desktop that resembles Windows 7 and not Server 2k8 when logging in using RDP.

I have it setup right now to when an user logs in they get their own profile with a Server 2008 desktop, but I can not get it to redirect to the Virtual Windows 7 machine I have running on Hyper-V on the same server.

I have about 50 users so I do not want to create a virtual machine for each user, just have each user with their own desktop that can be customized to their own liking. The users would login using their AD credentials that are also created and installed on this server already.

In this server I have the RemoteApp Manager, RD Gateway Manager, RD Session Host and Remote Desktop Services Manager roles installed on the server.

Most places I have been looking reference using the Web Access but for this setup I want to use RDP since they will all be located internally on thin clients for the time being.

I seem to be stuck on some small issue of redirecting to the Windows 7 machine. Any help would be appreciated.

So you want that once a user RDP into your server, it will be redirected to a Windows 7 VM?! If yes, I can't understand how you can do it.
