DrewDanielGeronimo Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I have made a shared folder, one folder have 10 folders inside. My questions is I want all clients to restrict them to make a new folder inside and prompt them like these "You are not allowed to make a new folder". Can anyone help me please? Thanks. I'm using Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2. Quote
ICTCity Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 You can do this by setting the right permission: properties > security > advanced > change permissions > SELECT USER / GROUP > then DENY the "CREATE FOLDER AND APPEND DATA" Pay attention, this will not LIMIT the number of sub-folder (you CANNOT do this), this prevent users from create a new folder inside that folder. 1 Quote -------------------------------------------------------- Tu peux aussi crire en franais.
