Forum² Admin AWS Posted July 17, 2010 Forum² Admin Posted July 17, 2010 Other than dmoz and Yahoo I don't know any good ones. There is another, but, I don't remember the name of it off hand. It's a couple years old and some of dmoz editors were invited to edit. They get paid per site reviewed from what I understand. hari Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I've applied to be an editor at DMOZ now. I am not sure whether it will be agreed or not, but no harm in trying. :D Quote Law Students Community | Harishankar.org - personal website
Forum² Admin AWS Posted July 20, 2010 Forum² Admin Posted July 20, 2010 I am a meta editor at dmoz although I'm not as active as I once was. I got accepted in 1998 shortly after it was opened and was promoted to meta in 2001. Quote IPB Webmaster - For Invision Community Enthusiasts - SEO Help Forum

hari Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 I'm not going to hold my breath but I'll be hoping that I can get in. It seems to be a useful resource. Quote Law Students Community | Harishankar.org - personal website
david Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 I think a lot of other directories scrape it, to get their own directories filled. So in essence getting accepted to DMOZ can get you a lot more than one back link. I've submitted numerous sites but none have ever made it :( Quote My Personal Blog David Mchenry Sites coming soon: Digital-Photography-Forums | Clean East Liverpool | High School Senior Photography
Forum² Admin AWS Posted August 14, 2010 Forum² Admin Posted August 14, 2010 Hundreds of thousands of sites use dmoz data so a link in there goes a long way. Quote IPB Webmaster - For Invision Community Enthusiasts - SEO Help Forum
timbrownxy Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I think many of scraping other directories, to get their own directories full. So, in essence, be accepted in DMOZ can get much more than a link back. Quote
chrisjohnson Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Yes! i agree with thing that DMOZ is best. Quote
