I didn't have the time for a while, but in all honesty, I really missed forums. After starting to get back into it, I kind of have that excitement in my life again. flow Posted November 3 Posted November 3 You have defined it rightly. I'd like to add that a newbie is a term used for someone who is a novice in a field. But for a newbie in an online to forum, we need to strive to be welcoming and supportive too. Quote
Tidal Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I totally agree with your submission. A newbie can also be seen as someone who is exploring new interests or trying new features within a community. Sometimes I try to embrace the 'newbie mindset' and it has helped me foster lifelong learning. Quote

We do need to be as welcoming as we can. Onboarding new membership is essential for communities and forums. It's how you turn a new member into a loyal member who keeps coming back.
