Forum² Staff Shawn Posted October 6 Forum² Staff Posted October 6 I typically engage my existing network for outdoor related forums. Everything else, I mix copywriting and social media promotion and schedule daily promotional posts for the forum. I'll also go to promotion forums and admin forums and utilize their promotion features. How about you all? Quote My forums: Another Admin Forum | vBAdmins Forum | Off Topic Forum | The Hiking Forum
Forum² Admin AWS Posted October 6 Forum² Admin Posted October 6 I used to actively participate in SEO forums. Things have changed so much now I'm not 100% sure you need to do anything to make it easier for SE's to find you. I do add a signature on the forums I visit. Some of them don't allow sigs. Some allow sigs but no links. I drop the link on Twitter every once in a while. I used to be heavy into Twitter. I would watch the members online go up like crazy after I posted a link to an article. I was obsessed with trying to convert those visitors to users. Never could and never could understand why they didn't join. You would think if you had over a thousand online reading the article that someone would want to say somehting about it. Never happened. 1 Quote IPB Webmaster - For Invision Community Enthusiasts - SEO Help Forum

Immortal Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I have tried using social media sites to promote my forums but I have not got much traction. I think promotional forums are good platforms to promote your forums. Quote
Exoticdreamer Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I have used forums with similar audiences to market mine and that has worked well for me. Doing this puts your forum in front of a "warm" audience that is already primed to hear what you have to say and more likely to visit your forum if they feel it would serve them. Quote
