Forum² Admin AWS Posted October 17 Forum² Admin Posted October 17 There are certain things you can do to generate traffic and convert them to users. Content is the driving factor that got the users to your community. Now that they are there you want them to register and stay. Creating engaging forum content is a way your keep users coming back and involves several strategies. Here are some effective ways to generate content for a forum: Discussion Threads: Start or participate in discussions on trending topics relevant to your forum's niche. Ask open-ended questions to encourage responses. Informative Posts: Share tutorials, how-to guides, or informative articles that provide value to the community. Break down complex topics into easy-to-understand posts. User-Generated Content: Encourage members to share their experiences, stories, or opinions. Host contests or challenges that motivate users to create content. Polls and Surveys: Create polls to gauge opinions on specific topics. This can spark further discussion. Share results and analyze them in follow-up posts. News and Updates: Post about relevant news, updates, or changes in your forum’s niche. Encourage discussions about these updates. Resource Sharing: Share links to valuable resources, tools, or articles that can help forum members. Create a "Resource of the Week" thread. Q&A Sessions: Host regular Q&A sessions where users can ask questions and share knowledge. Invite experts in the field to participate. Feedback and Suggestions: Ask for feedback on forum features or content. Create threads where users can suggest new topics or improvements. Case Studies and Success Stories: Share case studies or success stories related to your forum's focus. Encourage members to share their own stories. Themed Days: Create themed days (e.g., “Motivation Monday” or “Throwback Thursday”) to encourage specific types of posts. By implementing these strategies, you can foster a vibrant and engaging community on your forum. Quote IPB Webmaster - For Invision Community Enthusiasts - SEO Help Forum
Forum² Staff Shawn Posted October 29 Forum² Staff Posted October 29 I really like the idea of themed days for a forum. I use it a lot on my social pages and it does well. I feel like we could incorporate it into our forums. Quote My forums: Another Admin Forum | vBAdmins Forum | Off Topic Forum | The Hiking Forum
flow Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I would add that incorporating multimedia content, such as videos, podcasts, or infographics in your content, is one of those things that will enhance engagement. I have seen forum owners organise Q&A sessions or live chats with experts to spark discussions and attract new members. It works like magic.. 1 Quote
Tidal Posted November 3 Posted November 3 One mistake that shouldn't be made is when you do not encourage user-generated content. It is very important to encourage members to share their experiences, success stories and tutorials. It's a way to create a sense of ownership within the community. Quote
Exoticdreamer Posted November 6 Posted November 6 One thing I would add is to start with what the members want when creating content. Many community leaders do this the wrong way around. They think about what they would like to see and then create content around that. Instead of doing this, come at it from the other way. Find out what your community, and visitors want to see, questions they want answered, concerns they have, topics they like discussing, etc. and then create threads and content around that. Quote
Cpvr Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I like the idea of hosting contests and I’ve hosted a few on the previous versions of my forum. Especially posting contests, they work well. 1 Quote
