Do you think polls on a forum are often forgotten?

I know most platforms hide them behind a button, which I think adds to the effect of many people not realizing that the feature is there.

Do you often neglect to create polls?

I used to use them a lot. Now I rarely use them. Don't know why. At some point I just starting asking questions and waiting for answers.

I think it's better to ask questions as a thread rather than using a poll because people might just vote and leave then. If there's no poll, they'd have to post their choice your opinion which would ultimately increase activity in the forum.
